Dogs are smarter than you think

Remember the most important thing to remember when training dogs are that they are smarter than you think. There have been reported cases where dogs have learned some pretty amazing things. Given the right amount of patience and technique, dogs can accomplish quite a lot.

To Reward or not to Reward?

The big question for many dog trainers is "Should we give a reward every time a dog does something good?" The answer is complicated. Some dogs may begin to expect rewards and become spoiled. Some owners even report dogs developing attitudes! While in general, rewards are a good way to reinforce good behavior, don't underestimate the value of a kind words and the pat on the head.
